Willow Tree Pre-School opened in September 2008, and we now take 30 children per session, aged 2 to 4 years.

 

Willow Tree Pre-School opened in September 2008.   Following our move to the new purpose built building, we are now taking 30 children per session aged 2 to 4 years. Staff members are qualified to level 3 in childcare or are working towards gaining this qualification and we work on a strict 1:4 ration for children aged 2 years and 1:8 ratio for children 3-4 years at all times.

There are a range of exciting and stimulating activities on offer each day, both indoors and outdoors which are all planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.  We are set in a beautiful location on the playing fields within the grounds of Deanshanger Primary School. We are able to use the school library and their outdoor spaces and climbing equipment.

 

Due to the close links with the Primary School, in the term prior to starting school, the children attend school for a session.  This provides the opportunity for the children to familiarise themselves with the school layout, its routines and the staff.  This then helps to aid a smooth and comfortable transition to school for everyone.

We accept 30 hour funding for 3 and 4 year olds, and 2 year funding for those who qualify.
